My Journey

My path to becoming an Alexander Technique teacher began through my work as a musician. After years of playing piano and teaching music, I discovered how deeply our habits of movement affect not only our performance but our entire quality of life.

I started learning and unlearning with Luc Vanier and Elizabeth Johnson over 12 years ago. Their Framework for Integration workshop continues to inspire me to keep returning and exploring. It doesn't matter how long I've known something—I always seem to return to a humbling, informative, and profound experience.

The work really is a never-ending spiral, and yet I can sense an opening and closing that allows me to feel growth and groundedness. I'm grateful for the ability to see myself with a keen yet gentle eye, and carry my awareness into my daily movement patterns and activities.
